Dr. Lotta Larson began her teaching career as a fifth/sixth-grade teacher. In 2007, she earned a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Kansas State University where she is now an assistant professor.
Dr. Larson teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of literacy, instructional technologies, and assessment. She often presents at conferences and conducts professional development sessions to help teachers integrate technology to enhance their current reading/writing curricula. Dr. Larson's research examines the use of e-books and other digital texts in K-12 classrooms to support reading comprehension and reader response wide range of diverse readers. Dr. Larson's research has been published in journals including The Reading Teacher and Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy.
