Lisa, a northern transplant, is an ardent reader, committed writer, and fervent teacher of seventh grade English language arts. She is a linguist at heart, with a fascination for languages such as those in Tolkien's texts, which she studies when she is not coaching her students to become lifelong learners, working on National Board Certification, penning a mystery novel, or writing lessons for ReadWriteThink.
Lisa is a member of the Alabama Education Association and the National Education Association who serves as a mentor to new teachers, coaches Scholars' Bowl, sits on the Building Leadership Team, and assists her peers in implementing technology in the classroom.
