Dylan Alexander Smith grew up in a shotgun shack on a remote lake near Olympia, Washington. He spent his childhood swimming, fishing, and walking a mile to the school bus stop, located at the extreme frontier of the district map. All his life he's been an artist of one stripe or another, from illustrator to animator to painter to regional rock star. He's never stopped writing since the day he learned how. He received his Bachelor's in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College, and his Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He's currently working on short stories, poems, and a biography, among other bits and pieces.
