Deborah Jensen is an associate professor in the graduate literacy program at Hunter College-CUNY and the coordinator of an afterschool tutoring program for first, second, and third grade struggling readers. Her research interests are struggling readers and home-school partnerships. She is the author of many articles and the coauthor of the book Teaching and Learning in the (dis)Comfort Zone: A Guide for New Teachers and Literacy Coaches.
